Turn 1

Turn 1 is a high speed corner at the end of the front straight with 90+mph entry. Approach the left hand side of the corner and turn in late. Trail braking works well here and passes can be had by not checking up at the markers. Don't cut across too hard as you want to stay to the left of center setting up for Turn 2.

Turn 2

As speed is bleeding off from Turn 1 you will want to stay to the left of center looking for the turn in point and apex late in Turn 2. There's a spot of dead grass (presumably from runoffs!) that works well. Cut in harder to exit around the middle of the track as you build up speed to lead into the gentle sweeping Turn 3. You'll be on the gas from apex all the way through the corner and you can let the building speed drift you a little out to set up for the next turn.

Turn 3

Turn 3 is a gentle left hander that you can pretty much stay on the throttle the whole way through. You can hug the berm at apex and stay left and will be on a good line for the entrance to Turn 4.

Turn 4

If you stayed left coming out of the last turn you will be set up for the classic Outside/Inside/Outside Turn 4. Don't worry too much about getting back to the right for Turn 5. The straight between the two is short so don't build too much speed exiting the corner but passes can be had on guys setting up to turn in (too early) to Turn 5.

Turn 5

You can approach Turn 5 straight up the middle and drift to the outside as you enter the corner, braking and turning in late. You want a very late turn in to set you up for straightening out Turn 6.

Turn 6

If you've turned into and apexed Turn 5 late then you will be set up to hug the inside berm through the corner. You can start to get on the gas pretty good here and the straight leading to Turn 7 is a good passing spot. You'll be heading slightly downhill and that will help you accelerate.

Turn 7

Turn 7 is a wide constant radius bowl that you can take in a classic Outside/Inside/Outside manner. Be on the gas as much as possible here as there's a slight up hill slope leading to the next corner and you want to start building speed for the straightaway. Stay wide to the left and hard on the gas leading into the Turn 8.

Turn 8

This is the drive to the straightaway which some people divide into two corners. I take it as one and the map shows one so that's what we'll do here.

You should now be driving hard coming out of the last turn approaching from the left of the track. You will be crossing the painted lines for pit in just about the time you apex and those lines are convenient reference points. Your aim is to clip the rumble strips on the apex and carry as much speed as you can without shooting off the track as you drive up the straight. If you do the right you'll be over hard right as you apex and come out of the corner entering the straight near (or on) the outside rumble strips at exit. You want to be WFO at this point as you are looking down the front straight. Exit speeds should be in excess of 110 mph to carry you to top speed down the straight back to Turn 1.
