Turn 1

On approach to T1 your top speed will only be second to one other track in the country. Very fast approach. Look out for the brake marker boards on right hand side to guide you into this slow 150 degree left hand corner. In close competition make sure you hug the inside line as it present a beautiful overtaking opportunity. Then you have a slight uphill which leads into –

Turn 2

A fast left hand sweep that really test the skill of drivers. Don’t brake too hard here (if you have to). There is plenty of track on the exit side. Make sure you hit the apex and some more if you can. (Sometimes the organisers have pylons at the apex). Accelerate hard until you brake for –

Turn 3

Which is a slow left hand corner that turns back on itself. It is appropriate to do a lot of trail braking to the apex. If not, you may find yourself on and off the throttle while you stabilise the car. Accelerate with 100 percent hard throttle to

Turn 4

Which is a right hand switchback and is slightly faster than turn 3. Again trail brake to the apex and DON' USE ALL THE ROAD ON EXIT as you have to turn sharply into –

Turn 5

Which is a quick left hand corner. Hug the road on entry. Organisers generally place cones on an escape road to your left. Aim for, but don’t hit the cones on left hand side. Now turn decisively to the right and hit the apex cleanly before immediately turning into

Turn 6

Your line has to be perfect on this bumpy section at the apex otherwise you will run out track at the end of this corner. On our gps this is the area where the lateral g-forces are very high. Immediately flick over to the right into -

Turn 7

Again aim for the cones at the apex and make sure you do not run out of track at exit. A real “rip off the splitter” moment awaits the unwary. Turns 4 5,6 and 7 should be taken in a quick left, right, left sweeps. Keep on the accelerator till the braking area of –

Turn 8

This is a tricky section because this medium paced left hand corner leads into a slow right. Better to go fast into turn 7 an then HUG the apex to allow you a better line through –

Turn 9

As your car is flicked into this corner accelerate hard. If you are on the correct line you will be able to go through turn 9 without lifting. This corner is immediately followed by –

Turn 10

An exhilarating left hand corner which is wide and banked with a very solid concrete wall all around. Accelerate hard through this corner until you feel you are running out of road then back off the throttle and make the back end of the car more loose to steer you on the appropriate line for exit. The exit of this corner has a slight squiggle that should not bother you too much. It is not wise to brake in the corner to make the car turn in. You know you are getting this corner right when the “race hardened” marshals behind the concrete wall on exit back away from the wall.
